Sin is transgression of the law {lawlessness} (1 Jn. 3:4) Sin is explained (1 Cor. 6:9-10; Gal. 5:19-21) Both have “will not inherit the kingdom of God” Sin brings death (Rom. 6:23) Hell is the eternal destiny and punishment of those who engage in sin (Rev. 21:8; 20:14)
Today we may find sin “watered down” A deliberate changing of terminology An acceptance due to societal “reforms” It is what the people want
Jesus is the Lamb of God (Jn. 1:29) A blood sacrifice (Heb. 9:22) Take away sins (1 Jn. 3:5) He died for us {sinners} (Rom. 5:8) A sacrifice for sin (Heb. 9:23-28) A costly sacrifice (1 Peter 1:18-19)
Jesus becomes a “watered down” sacrifice when sin is marginalized If sin is “no big deal Jesus’ death is insignificant Much ado about nothing Just so much fear mongering
Will you do it now? Dead in sin, made alive in Christ (Eph. 2:1-9) Eternal salvation to all who obey Him (Heb. 5:9) Believe in Jesus (Jn. 8:24) Repent of sins (Lk. 13:3) Confess Christ (Matt. 10:32) Be baptized (Mk. 16:16) Will you do it now?
