Ms. Choudhary’s Reading Class October 2017 Ms. Choudhary’s Reading Class How Can I Help? Point out when someone is speaking with exaggeration in order to convince someone of something. I hope that you enjoyed your intersession with your child!! I hope you all are rested and ready to continue our school adventure! How Can I Help? Ask your child about the purpose behind an author writing something. Persuade? Inform? Entertain? We will be reading persuasive and informational texts for the remainder of the month. We will learn about the author’s position and techniques they use to convey their thoughts. How Can I Help? Discuss when someone is being misleading or contradicting themselves in order to prove what they want.
