Today’s Objectives SWBAT determine the type of microscope to be used in a given situation SWBAT identify and label the most critical components of the microscope SWBAT calculate the magnification of an object based on the lenses used.

Using the Microscope Keep the microscope away from the very edge of the table Turn the light source on first if it is not on Make sure you begin with the 4x objective lens (red line) Always use the coarse adjustment knob first to focus the image (larger knob)
