Learning Objectives To understand how Dongtan Eco-City project is designed to be sustainable To be able to critically evaluate the Dongtan Eco-City project.

Starter: Solving the Mystery…. How will rice husks make China more sustainable? Sort the cards you have been given into categories you decide.

Assessment Task Write a letter from a teenager in China who is moving to Dongtan. You are writing to your friend to describe what the city will be like.
