Community Investment Advancing the Common Good in Daviess County The investment of the United Way of Daviess County annual campaign focuses on community change, improving resource development and investment in strategic areas.

Grant options: Investing in governance, staff development or planning Identify areas where your agency could benefit from outside expertise or training. Agencies are asked to create a plan showing how their request will generate new enthusiasm and strategies for the work and organization. How does the community and your organization benefit?

Investment in Education, Income or Health Strategies Investment Plan Guidelines 1) What is your Agency aiming to accomplish? State your intended impact (what good are you going to do for what people?) Identify groups you are going to assist, issues you are addressing and expected outcomes

2) What are your strategies for making this happen? Describe your strategies for accomplishing the goals you cited in your previous answer (how are you going to do this?) Assist Campaign Staff with different types of campaigns Describe your core assets, internal (staff, budget, expertise) and external (partnerships, networks and influence) INCLUDE YOUR BUDGET HERE

4) How will your organization know if you are making progress? How will you assess your work and measure it’s effectiveness? (% of increase skills, increased number served, etc.) How will you know you are making a change? (reduction of repeated requests for assistance, increased attendance at social events)

United Way Agency Partnership Agreement I. NAME This group will be known as the Agency Committee for United Way of Daviess County II. PARTICIPATING GROUPS III. ELECTION OF OFFICERS Elections will be held at the December meeting each year for a one year term beginning on January 1. IV. OFFICERS A Chairperson and Secretary will be selected from the Agency members.  

V. MISSION The Agency Committee is an advisory partner with United Way to a.) Strategically collaborate for the betterment of human welfare in Daviess County. b.) Create a forum for communication, networking, and forwarding common interests of the social service community. VI. PROCEEDURE VII. MEETINGS The Agency Committee will meet quarterly on second Tuesdays in March, June, Sept. and Dec. at 12:00PM at Ride Solution, located at 1001 E. Main St. in Washington.

VIII. CHAIRPERSON DUTIES SECRETARY DUTIES MOTIONS FUNDRAISING Period of Cooperation Agencies are expected to respect the United Way campaign period of September 1st through October 31st. Any changes will be communicated to the Agencies as soon as possible. Agencies are encouraged to obtain grants, endowment funds, and other sources of income which is disclosed in the funding packet. Agencies are asked to play an active role in the United Way Campaign by informing and encouraging their board members and staff to participate.

XII. ATTENDANCE Agencies funded by United Way are required to attend three (3) of the quarterly Agency Committee meetings per year. This can be the director or an assigned representative. This requirement is important to build a collaborative and dynamic environment to enhance the work of all.

XIII. CONFLICT RESOLUTION Each member agency is responsible for following the guidelines. Failure to follow the known and accepted guidelines will result in a hearing with the Agency Committee Chair, offending agency, UW board chair and UW Executive Director. Failure to resolve issue can result in reduced community investment. Some possible areas of concern might be a. Failure to submit reports and grant requests on time b. Running an independent business fundraising campaign during Sept/Oct. c. Non-participation in Agency Committee meetings d. No agency disclosure, shall be released by the agency partner to the public in a negative manner, regarding funds received, reduced in amount, or no longer funded by United Way
