Helping your child at home Conversations Tell me about what you are reading Tell me about the characters, relationships, events or information. What do you think about that? How does what your reading connect to what you know or help you understand in the world around you? How can you say that in a different way? Read the same book and discuss.

Organization and Responsibility Student Planner Completing work is key to success Expectations of work and deadlines are clear Success in middle school and beyond Agenda – We record in it daily, it is meant to be a support for home. This is a location you can check for homework, missed work, upcoming tests. It is important to your child’s success, but is also helpful to us if you are signing it daily and monitoring completion of work. They need to get their own papers and keep track of them!
