2008 Updating Round - Planning Requesting the agreement of Member States on national parts of draft updated lists: Closed Processing of comments from Member States: Closed Inter-service consultation: Closed 2008 Consultation of the Habitats Committee: 22 October 2008 Adoption by the Commission: December 2008 Publication in Official Journal: Early 2009 Updated reserve lists (2008) will be published on the Natura 2000 CIRCA site as soon as available (late autumn 2008).

Further planned updating rounds 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2019, according to the Rolling Plan agreed in 2007. Completing the Natura 2000 network in the marine environment by 2009/2010.
