PCTs & THE COMMISSIONING CHALLENGE GMCVO Health & Infrastructure Workshop 13th September 2007 PCTs & THE COMMISSIONING CHALLENGE

KEY POINTS The work of the Association The commissioning challenge to PCTs Meeting the Challenge The role of the Voluntary Sector

The Association Established in 2004 & unique! 10 Primary Care Trusts Coterminous with AGMA An ethos of collaboration Key objectives To support PCTs in sharing information and good practice To provide a focus for the development and reporting of joint work across the PCTs and reducing unnecessary duplication of effort To provide a properly constituted forum for issues where PCTs consider it beneficial to their own objectives to have a collective decision of the PCTS of Greater Manchester in the spirit of mutuality, or to address issues necessitating formal agreement by the PCTs of Greater Manchester

The commissioning challenge to PCTs

THE AIM….. Animate
