PLANS FOR 3RD YEAR Jennifer Finnigan

To identify an area to specialise in next year, I have been looking through what I feel are my most successful pieces from level 5, level 4 and foundation. Three common material themes are apparent.

WOOD

WIRE

PAPER

At this moment in time, my plan is to create a range of wooden furniture which incorporates properties and techniques from wire and /or paper.

Common themes other than materiality I have found include: - Intricacy - Mathematics and Geometry - Construction - Complexity

ARTISTS/DESIGNERS OF INTEREST

Robby Cuthbert

Zhang and Thonsgaard J1 Studio

Although I feel confident with my plans, they are likely to significantly change do to a 2 month work placement in Malta with Mediterranean Ceramics.
