Figure 1 Bone mineral density measured by dual energy x-ray absorptiometry at 12 months post-transplantation. It is expressed as the percentage of the value obtained at the time of transplantation. It falls significantly in all the evaluated sites. Immunosuppression includes cyclosporine, steroids (maintenance dose of 7.5 mg/day after 120 days) and either mycophenolate mofetil or azathioprine.
