WARM UP When you think about effective PLC’S what are the Look Fors????? Write on a sticky note. Share with a partner and post on chart paper Curriculum, Instruction or Assessment, . People number off 1,2,3,4. If more people are in the room, two pieces of the same chart paper are posted. People then report out others to be added? Utube video segment to reinforce what they have placed on the charts Harvard UTube

Your Instructional Leadership Role in Professional Learning Communities Hope burns brightest in those who believe in their ability to impact the future. Leaders of learning communities will keep the hope alive in their schools and districts by modeling that belief and calling upon all staff to do the same. Rick Dufour Read your descriptor of your role in supporting PLC’s in a SAM school. Move into groups of 7. Share what you learned. 7-10 minutes What were the ahahs from your group. What additional info can you add? Christine will chart.

Describe how you would operationalize these approaches in your school PLC’s? Assign a scribe and reporter. Chart in your team how you would or are operatiolnalizing at least four of these approaches in your school. Share out.

Principals must be clear about their focus on supporting PLC’s in a SAM What one strategy will you take back that you are not doing today and that will be implemented? Share and report out.
