Who made the first mobile phone? Dr. Martin Cooper He earned his Bachelors and Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Illinois institute of Technology.
Before his famous Invention Dr. Martin Cooper served in the Navy for 4 years working on the destroyers and submarines. Later, he was working with Motorola. In his early years of working with Motorola he worked on mostly portable projects, including hand radios made for Chicago police departments in 1957.
The first call? On April 13, 1973 he made his first wireless call to Dr. Joe Engel, a competitor at AT&T Bell’s Lab It took 17 years from initial call for the mobile communication concept to fully develop
