School Development Plan In Pictures 2015- 2016 Staff Version

Everyone will know and explain the school vision. We will improve the social curriculum – especially learning through community visits. Leadership and Management Everyone will know and explain the school vision. We will improve our skills by introducing “learning from each other” training days.

Leadership and Management 2) Streamlining and integrating these with our school reports. We will choose an assessment system to record progress and benchmark against national norms. We will improve our EHCP plans by: Ensuring priority needs are included.

Leadership and Management We will improve our links and support to mainstream colleges. Our current parents will advertise the school to potential parents. We will purchase a new minibus, build our new multi sensory pod and refurbish the food technology room.

Teaching and Learning We will improve our teaching by: Getting better at recognising emerging skills and next steps. Introducing prior assessment learning weeks. Learning to give better feedback. Students will read or be read to everyday. We will increase teaching time in ASD classes by developing the skills of TA’s to teach at the 1-1 table.

We will introduce behaviour weeks to monitor low level behaviours. Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare We will introduce behaviour weeks to monitor low level behaviours. We will embed successful strategies from the self esteem project across the school. We will enhance healthy lifestyle choices – including exercise and eating habits. We will relaunch the well being group to manage life and work stresses.

Outcomes for Children and Learners We will introduce class communication passports which will help us to use AAC more effectively across the curriculum including symbols, grid player, objects of reference and makaton signing. We will work out the best ways of measuring progress of students against the CLIFTON HILL PRIORITIES.

6th Form Provision We will find better ways of supporting our parents of Croydon children through the transition process to adult life. We will improve our taught time over the lunch period. Students will learn to use AAC devises well in the community.
