Social Aspects of Cleaning ●Be mindful of hierarchies and/or dominant issues within groups as well as space constraints while enclosure or satellite holding is being cleaned. ●Keep lower ranking individuals in adjacent pens to higher ranking, if the option allows, to avoid fighting and/or injury while cleaning. ●Be aware of where all individuals are while cleaning enclosure or holding, arms reach far, avoid being grabbed and/or tools/supplies being stolen. ●When returning individuals to enclosure, allow least dominant to enter first, if possible, to have a chance at the food/enrichment and to find a comfortable area. ●When bringing individuals inside for cleaning, if possible, provide separate space for lower ranking, ideally a section of holding for low ranking and a section for remaining group.
