Students will learn to retrieve and manipulate data in various ways using the industry standard database language, SQL.
Centenary University Data Analytics: Business concentration / minor / certificate Applied Regression Modeling (MTH 4300) - 4 Credits This course is an introduction to regression analysis and modeling. The primary focus of this course will be on interpreting, evaluating and building both simple and multiple linear regression models through the use of case studies and real-world data sets. The statistical software package, R, will be used extensively throughout this course. Register Fall 2019
Centenary University Data Analytics: Business concentration / minor / certificate Data Analytics and Visualization (DAT 4000) - 4 Credits This course will cover some of the fundamental mathematics, statistics, and algorithms used in data analytics, while at the same time give students additional hands-on experience with data analytic techniques and data-driven decision making. Effective communication of results will be emphasized in this course and students will be introduced to the data visualization software, Tableau, to help them tell the story of their data. Tableau is rapidly becoming industry standard in marketing and many other fields.
