ual: Extended project in creative media production University Arts London Level 3 Diploma in Creative Media Production Journalism & Social Media Communication Pathway The Sheffield College Assessment and Feedback Sheets ual: Unit 13 Extended project in creative media production University of the arts London Project Title: Final Major Project: Produce a Journalism Portfolio Tutors: Tracy Mitchell, Shelina Mawani-Markin, Jane Parr Start Date: 1st February 2018 Deadline: 25 May 2018

Summary of Evidence/Reason for Referral Qualification: L3 Ext Diploma in  Creative Media Production Project Title: Produce a Multimedia journalism portfolio Assessor Name:  Jane Parr Date: Unit 13: Extended project in creative media production Assessment & Grading Recording Sheet To achieve a Pass grade the learner must achieve all of the following criteria; Learner Name:   Anna Oxborough Assessment Criteria for PASS R= Referral, S = satisfactory, HS = High Standard, VHS = Very High Standard R P M D Summary of Evidence/Reason for Referral 1.1 CONTEXT  Use critical and contextual perspectives to initiate a creative media production project proposal.        x Evidence in Context Research post and Proposal You started off well Anna with your ideas and understanding of what you wanted to do with your articles for your FMP. There are some good ideas here although I think you were a little too ambitious in the fact that you wanted to write about a specific fashion style in Muslim girls/women originally and this doesn't seem to have come off in any way, shape or form. You had ideas with regards to doing a lookbook also which could have been really good content for your FMP so although you didn't manage to pull it off the ideas were there in the first instant. 1.2 CONTEXT Use analysis and evaluation to clarify and develop ideas for a creative media production project proposal. 2.1 RESEARCH Use research to support the development of a creative media production project. Evidence in Production Diary and Proposal Good research which directly relates to your original ideas and had some of which relates to the articles you did actually manage to execute.  Again you had some good ideas and you did relevant research even though they did not come to fruition. 2.2 RESEARCH Use analytical and evaluative skills to develop creative solutions to realise a media production project. 3.1 PROBLEM SOLVING  Solve practical and technical problems within Evidence in Production Diary Your problem solving is evident but not shown to a high enough standard. I think you could have overcome the problems to create a look book but you gave up on this which is a shame. You state in your production diary that it was too far to go to Manchester but as a journalist you would pursue this to get the story/content required for your article or find an alternative way around it. Instead you chose an easier option. You could have set up a DSLR camera on a tripod and filmed yourself. Some evidence of problem solving with the natural skin care interviews. Capped at a PASS. 3.2 PROBLEM SOLVING  Solve theoretical problems within a creative media production project. Date: 11th June 2014

Summary of Evidence/Reason for Referral Qualification: L3 Ext Diploma in  Creative media Production Project Title: Produce a Multimedia Journalism Portfolio Assessor Name: Date:  Unit 13: Extended project in creative media production Assessment & Grading Recording Sheet To achieve a Pass grade the learner must achieve all of the following criteria; Learner Name:    Anna Oxborough Assessment Criteria for PASS R= Referral, S = satisfactory, HS = High Standard, VHS = Very High Standard R P M D Summary of Evidence/Reason for Referral 4.1 PLANNING AND PRODUCTION Demonstrate the ability to plan, organise and produce a creative media production project within an agreed time frame. x     x   Evidence in Production Diary / Social Media Calendar You need to organise your time more productively Anna to allow you to execute your ideas. This is a fundamental part of being a journalist to allow you to get the content required for your written and visual content. There is some evidence of planning in your Action plan although you did not meet all your deadlines. Time management needs addressing as missed deadlines are not acceptable in journalism. Capped at a PASS. 5.1 PRACTICAL SKILLS  Demonstrate the exploration, adaptation and application of practical methods and skills in the realisation of a creative media production project. Evidence in Production Diary & Portfolio/Website https://spotlightstyle1.wordpress.com/ Your writing skills are of a good standard Anna but to push your practical skills you could have taken some of your own images for your stories rather than using sourced images, this shows that you have multiple skills which are vital in the industry today to allow you be more versatile and more employable. Your website design is stylish and minimal but doesn't show an enormous amount of skill. I can't see any link to your website so I cannot assess you on this. You did not execute the video you originally planned so no practical skills to assess on this. You have not met the requirements of the brief as you only have 2 stories and an infographic which does not contain a clear message on what you are trying to compare. You have now passed this criteria. Capped at a PASS. Overall comments: 6.1 EVALUATION AND REFLECTION  Maintain evaluative and reflective records of the development and production of a creative media project. Evidence in Production Diary  I cannot see any strong evidence that you have reflected on your work or evaluated it to any passable degree so I have referred you on this criteria. I need to see some critical evaluation of your work both formative and summative in the form of article critique and/or a final evaluation of your FMP. There is evidence of reflection on your FMP and you have now passed this criteria. Capped at a PASS. 6.2 EVALUATION AND REFLECTION Use evaluative and reflective skills to make decisions for a creative media production project. 7.1 PRESENTATION Explore strategies to present a creative media There are no real presentation skills to assess you against as I cannot see your website with your content.  You have now passed the criteria for 7.1 and 7.2 as you have explored strategies for presentation (although I cannot see any research into websites) and you have presented your articles on your own website. Capped at a PASS. 7.2 PRESENTATION Present a creative media production project to a specified audience. Please  circle/highlight  final grade: In the case of a referral please complete a  Referral Action Plan. UCAS POINTS: 72 Date: 11th June 2014
