Session 4: independent paraphrasing Objective: Review and Independent Practice with paraphrasing by reading independently, practicing, and developing paraphrased statements

The ticket………… In this session, you will read and paraphrase independently. At the end of the session, you will share what you have learned with the other students.

The Directions…………. * At the sandiegozoo.org website, choose an animal to read about. * Read the text about an animal of your choice, * Paraphrase as you read * Write down what you have learned. * Do not write a paraphrased idea until you have orally (or silently) paraphrased the information. * Write the paraphrase in your own words. * At the end of the session, you can share your information either in small groups or with the entire class.
