Figure 1 The Function of IL-9 in the Resolution of Joint Inflammation in RA Rauber et al. (2017) found that autocrine IL-9 expands the ILC2 pool and upregulates the expression of ICOS ligand (ICOSL) and GITR ligand (GITRL) on ILC2s. Increased expression of these ligands boosts the suppressive capacity of Treg cells to suppress Th17-mediated joint inflammation, resulting in the resolution of inflammation.
