Revelation 1:4-6 Who LOVES US, and RELEASED [WASHED] US [5] … from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-born of the dead, the ruler of the kings of the earth. Who LOVES US, and RELEASED [WASHED] US FROM OUR SINS BY HIS BLOOD!

Why BLOOD? Leviticus 17:11 [11] FOR the LIFE of the flesh IS IN the BLOOD, and I have given it to you on the altar to make ATONEMENT for your souls; FOR it is the BLOOD by reason of the LIFE that makes ATONEMENT.

ATONEMENT means: to COVER, to FORGIVE, to EXPIATE (atone for, make amends for, make up for, do penance for, pay for to RECONCILE.

ATONEMENT The notion of covering… … is not in the sense of merely concealing. Rather, it suggests the imposing of CHANGE in APPEARANCE or NATURE.

Hebrews 9:22 all things are CLEANSED with BLOOD, [22] And according to the Law, one may almost say, all things are CLEANSED with BLOOD, and without shedding of BLOOD there is no FORGIVENESS [freedom; redemption].

Matthew 26:27-28 [27] And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you; [28] FOR this is My BLOOD of the COVENANT, which is POURED OUT which is POURED OUT for many FOR FORGIVENESS [freedom; redemption] of SINS.

The POWER of HIS BLOOD! The NECESSITY of BLOOD!

… WITHOUT SHEDDING of BLOOD there IS NO FORGIVENESS. The NECESSITY of BLOOD Hebrews 9:22 … WITHOUT SHEDDING of BLOOD there IS NO FORGIVENESS.

Colossians 1:19-20 having MADE PEACE THROUGH the BLOOD of His CROSS; [19] For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fulness to dwell in Him, [20] and through Him to RECONCILE all things to Himself, having MADE PEACE THROUGH the BLOOD of His CROSS; through Him, I say, whether things on earth or things in heaven.
