How can intraocular surgery be performed in an office-based surgery suite?

AAAHC Facility and Environment Checklist Section 8, con’t Adequate lighting and ventilation are provided in all areas. Facilities are clean and properly maintained. Coved floors. Non-flaking ceiling tiles. Monthly cleaning of walls, ceilings and all other non-surgical surfaces. Procedures minimize the sources and transmission of infections. Procedures for proper identification, management, handling, transport, treatment, and disposition of hazardous materials and wastes whether solid, liquid or gas.
