Presentation transcript:

1. Task Analysis designtechnology Design Brief Context: Camera designs Touch Telecommunications would like you to design and make a life size model of a new ‘greener’ digital camera aimed at the teenage market. The client would like the camera to be sensitive to the environmental demands of the modern market. This environmental awareness could be reflected in the product’s function, aesthetics, packaging design or material choices. The client would like to see a 1:1 scale prototype of the proposed design. The model should be presented in a suitable method of packaging and careful consideration should be given to the product’s name, logo and overall branding. Who… Why… How… What… Where on the product should the name appear? I’ll look at some existing products to see how they approach the same problem. What to do This is the analysis of the ‘Task’. Pick out/highlight keywords in the task. For each of the keywords highlighted, apply one or two of the following words to construct a question: who, when, why, how, what and where? Then, try and answer the question. If you can’t answer the question then you must indicate where or how you will obtain the information to answer it, this is called research. See the example above.
