Using the Spot Healing Brush Sometimes there are items that you would want to remove from your photograph Freckles Pimples Moles Scars There are a number of different ways that you can do this, but one of the easiest is using the spot healing brush (Looks like a bandaid) Just select the tool (ensure that the spot tool is selected), then click on the area you want to fix – presto – The blemish is gone Ensure that you click rather than drag, as you will get a better result If one doesn’t look right, just hit undo and try again

Using the Clone Stamp Sometimes the Healer Tool doesn’t do a great job of removing the blemish do to the surrounding colours (around shadows, etc.) and you need to use another tool For these areas, you can try the clone stamp The Clone Stamp take the colouring from a selected area and copies it to the new area To use, you first need to select the colour you want to copy (clone) by placing your cursor over the desired colour and pressing Alt while clicking on your mouse Once you have selected the colour, then go over the spot that has the blemish and click to erase You need to watch where the tool is sampling from, as it will move as you move your mouse

Having fun with the Clone Stamp You can use the clone stamp to create a face with four eyes, two noses, extra hands. etc. by sampling that area

Today’s Assignment Take the two pictures that are on the X Drive titled: Freckles Acne Using the Spot Healer and the Clone Stamp, remove the skin blemishes on the two pictures Make any other adjustments you would like to enhance the photos Then grab any picture from the web and have some fun using the clone stamp by creating some extra body features.
