Absolute Values and Magnitude Today we will find the absolute value using a number line. So we can find the magnitude of a positive or negative number in a real world situation. We will work independently to show how we have mastered using absolute value to determine the magnitude of a number by completing at least 3 out of the 5 levels. 6.NS.C.7.

Language Objective By the end of the lesson students will be able to use all four language domains of listening, speaking, reading and writing. They will communicate how to find the magnitude of a positive or negative number in a real world situation in an oral discussion with your partners. They will also read the silent teacher and apply their knowledge to write the answers to their levels.
