The Unborn Child Unit 7

Responsibility When is the right time to have a baby? What do you need to have to think about having a baby? How would your life change after you have a baby?

How expensive are Babies? Make a list of all of the things that babies need. How much does the average person spend on a baby?

When should someone have a baby? Research: When are people having babies in Korea? What is needed to have a baby in Korea?

The Unborn Child Page 34

Discussion What happens in the story? What options does she have? How could Mali have avoided this situation? Which country has the most abortions? What about Korea?

Morality Abortion – when an unborn baby is destroyed in a medical facility Morality – a sense of right and wrong Come up with the two sides of each argument: Is it moral to accept abortion in society? Is it moral to accept homosexuality and gay marriage in society? Is it moral to accept living with your partner with kids but not being married? Is it moral to divorce if your marriage is not working out?

Situations In each of these scenarios, what do you think the couples should do? What options do they have? What should they do?

Research Create a debate with your team. In your teams, you will have two sides. Create a claim, warrants, and impacts, and also prepare rebuttals for the other team’s evidence. Research evidence and have something to back up your argument. Research these claims: It is the right of the mother to have an abortion. It is the right of the baby to live. Having a divorce is ok if your marriage is not working out. Having a divorce should always be avoided. Gay marriage is ok and helpful to society. Gay marriage is harmful to society.
