Introduction Our project’s goal was to design a roller coaster that transports an object in a specified time. Materials : Rubber Tubing ($7) Tie Wire ($2) Ball Bearing ($.19) Cardboard Cylinder ($7)

The Engineers Jonathan Jessie Jordan

Overview The ball bearing is put inside the tube at the top of the cylinder. It travels through 8 circles, a loop, and 4 more circles until reaching the end of the coaster. The ball goes from gravitational potential energy at the top to kinetic energy throughout the ride.

Conclusions Major issues with construction: Finding proper materials. Consistency with length of ride. The coaster took about 5 hours to build. With the reports and presentation the total time spent on the project was about 10 hours.
