Why was the election of 1800 called the revolution of 1800. Thomas Jefferson called his election "the Revolution of 1800" because it marked the first time that power in America passed from one party to another.

Information on the revolution of the 1800s. The people had to choose between John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. The federalists were scared that Thomas Jefferson would return power to the state and have a army. Federalists: A supporter of federal government; especially a supporter of the U.S Constitution.

How did the revolution start? The Americans were ready for a change. The election of Thomas Jefferson in 1800 was a critical election in American history
