U.S. Integrated Ocean Observing System (IOOS®) This briefing is the annual US IOOS report to the IOOC. This task is assigned to the Lead Federal Agency ACTIVITY: “report annually to the Interagency Ocean Observing Committee on the accomplishments, operational needs, and performance of the System to contribute to the annual and long-term plans developed pursuant to subsection (c)(2)(A)(i).” Zdenka Willis, Director, U.S. IOOS Program March 7, 2014

Eyes on!

Exposing Data When the slide comes up – hit the mouse once and the remainder of the animations will take care of themselves. You are seeing examples of the data portals. US IOOS is focused on data management. The IOOS Regions have the responsibility for helping us expose data from State, Local, Tribal governments; academia, and industry. We have developed a single “recipe” for the Sensor Obsevation Service (SOS) and deployed 2 software i.e. THREDDS, 52N and ncSOS. Go the IOOS website to find out more information.
