School Shootings Continue- Will extra security help? Kylie Withrow

The Situation Despite a new arising in school safety drills and alarms, there has been no change in the rate of U.S school shootings. There are many factors that could be blamed for the violence presented in these shootings. These factors include bad parenting, easy access to guns, less value on life, and violent video games. Some people believe that having police dogs on campuses will ensure that the staff and students are in a safer environment.

Topics this event covers Responsibility Selfishness Lack of care from parents Presence of violence in media

Possible Argument Prompt Because of the constant rate of U.S shootings, many people think that police dogs should keep watch at campus for the safety of staff and students. Write a well developed essay in which you defend, challenge, or qualify the idea that police dogs should be present during school hours to ensure a safer school environment.
