ABOUND UNTO EDIFICATION “…seek to abound for the edification of the church. . . . let all things be done for edification.” (1 Cor. 14:12, 26) “…pursue the things which make for peace and the building up of one another” (Rom. 14:19) “Each of us is to please his neighbor for his good, to his edification.” (Rom. 15:2) ABOUND UNTO EDIFICATION

Churches were edified (acts 9:31). Means “to build a house” such as an “edifice” Vine’s: “the promotion of spiritual growth” Building requires plans, goals, directions, and materials. Churches were edified (acts 9:31).

Edification is work all Christians are to be engaged in. Spiritual growth requires the word of God. Need both the milk and meat of the word (1 Pet. 2:2: Hebrews 5:13-14) The word builds up (Acts 20:32) The truth stimulates growth (Eph. 4:15) Live by every word from God (Matt. 4:4) Edification is work all Christians are to be engaged in.
