4.7 Congruence in Overlapping Triangles

Having trouble deciding which triangles to choose? Sometimes triangles overlap, you may have to pull apart the different sets of triangles to recognize if a particular pair is congruent or not. Best way to treat these problems is to redraw the given picture. You may have to redraw the picture several times to arrive at a valid conclusion. Having trouble deciding which triangles to choose? Then choose triangles that you know something about from the given info.
