Health Class Syllabus This class is participatory in nature. Your attendance is extremely important in order to understand the content, complete assignments, and participate in discussions and other activities. Health class is a required course for graduation. Supplies required: Folder, access to a computer, paper/ pencil Grading: Grades will be derived from the following: Homework and in-class work (study guides/ review sheets, notes, journals, book work, etc.) Tests and Quizzes- given at teacher’s discretion CPR written and skills test- assessment used for points as well as for certification purposes Other- anything else we can think of that will help you learn Final- a comprehensive written test is given at the end of the semester and is worth 20% of the semester grade

Attendance: If an absence occurs, it is the student’s responsibility to get and turn in all missed work. Work should be turned in on time if possible. Text: Books are available for use in the classroom and may be checked out at any time. Return books to shelf when done with them.
