Career Clusters Project This project was designed to align postsecondary courses with secondary courses in each of the Achieve Texas’ Programs of Study ( Career Pathways) http://txcareerclusters.org/

H.B. 2628 (84th TX. Legislature) THECB with assistance of community/technical colleges, CTE experts & college and career readiness experts shall establish Programs of Study (POS) that: 1. Incorporate College and Career Readiness Standards 2. Support attainment of employability & career readiness skills 3. Provide career cluster context leading to more specific POS 4. Incorporate multiple entry & exit points, including industry- recognized certifications or institutional transfer agreements 5. Culminate in attainment of a degree, certificate, or license

Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (Effective July 1, 2015) Training that leads to industry recognized post-secondary credentials is emphasized. States and local areas will use career pathways to provide education and employment and training assistance to accelerate job seekers' educational and career advancement.
