From Art History to Future Fashion By Imogen Rooney

Art History I took Art History on Virtual High School this year and it has enriched my understanding of the art world, which I feel is essential to my future study of fashion design. This course has taught me the meaning behind the art that was created, introducing me to new techniques and also and inspiring me to make my own wearable art.

A few of my favorite art styles/artists studied and my interpretation: Enjoy! All were done on watercolor paper with ink and watercolor. Portrait of the original artist included.

Renaissance Birth Of Venus Botticelli

Roccoco The Swing Jean-Honore Fragonard

Art As Propaganda Slave Ship J.M.W. Turner

Post-Impressionism Sunflowers Vincent Van Gogh
