From an interview with Mrs Angelino, the owner of Libertyno. What’s «IL Libertyno»? Il Libertyno is a mixture of a restaurant and a pub.

How did you get the idea to open this business? Because my brother and I wanted to open a special place in Noto. We have started a faster way to eat with lower prices and quality food. Which problems did you have at the beginning of your activity? It took about one year to get certifications and authorizations.

Why did you choose this name? We called it Il Libertyno because we consider it the little son of a restaurant called Liberty, whose owner is my brother.

What are your dishes and where do you buy yours products? Our dishes are made using local ingredients of Sicilian cuisine and changing old Sicilian recipes to make new delicacies. Who are your customers? Immediately after opening we had a great number of young customers attracted by the night live events which Il Libertyno organizes every week. But the most part of our customers are tourists who visit Noto from Spring to Autumn.

What’s the average price for a meal? The average price is 8€ for a sandwich and a drink and 10€ for the most elaborate tapas.
