Leadership in Prayer
1. Spirit of belief “All things are possible for one who believes.”” (Mark 9:23)
2. Clarity of Identity Now Elijah the Tishbite, of Tishbe in Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the LORD, the God of Israel, lives, before whom I stand…” (1 Kings 17:1)
3. Freedom to take risks (and fail) Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God (2 Corinthians 3:4–5)
4. Spirit of initiative “Then he took his staff in his hand and chose five smooth stones from the brook and put them in his shepherd’s pouch. His sling was in his hand, and he approached the Philistine.” (1 Samuel 17:40)
5. Unhindered by the desire to be great “I do not receive honor from men.” (John 5:41)
6. Confident in authority “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me…” (Matthew 18:18-20)
