Virginia’s Legislative Branch The Legislative branch makes the laws. It is their job to write laws and vote on them. The general assembly is the Legislative Branch. It is made up of two parts: The Virginia Senate, which has 40 members The Virginia House of Delegates, which has 100 members

Virginia’s Executive Branch The Executive Branch enforces the laws. It is their job to make sure laws are followed by Virginians (and anyone who visits Virginia) An elected governor is the head of the executive branch.
