Keystone Assessments Schedule

Code of Conduct for Test Takers Keystone Assessments Code of Conduct for Test Takers

Prior to starting the exam, test takers will be required to indicate that they understand the Code of Conduct for Test Takers. The next two slides will review the Code of Conduct.

Do… Get a good night’s sleep. Eat a good breakfast. Listen to, read, and follow all directions given. Ask questions if you do not understand the directions. Read each question carefully, especially multiple choice items that ask for the “best answer.” Also, be sure to read any open-ended items and writing prompts carefully before responding. Be careful when marking your answers so that you do not skip spaces or fill in the wrong section. Make sure to completely fill in the bubble for the answer you select and erase completely any answers you change. Keep your eyes on your own test. Try to answer each test item. Check that you have completed all the test items in the test section before closing your test booklet. Report any suspected cheating to your teacher or principal.

Do not… Bring notes with you to the test. Bring any electronic devices (e.g. cell phones, smart phones, smart watches, e-readers, etc.) other than approved calculator, if applicable, to the test. Note: if you have a phone with you in the testing room, it will need to be placed in a book bag and away from the testing area. Share a calculator with others. Use the bubbles in the answer booklet to either eliminate possible incorrect answers or possible correct answers. Mark only the bubble for the one correct answer you have chosen. Talk with others about questions on the test during or after the test. Take notes about the test to share with others. You may only work on the module that is being administered on the day of your test.

Additional Information: You may not bring any work into the testing room. When you are finished with the test, your desk must remain empty and you must remain in the room. You will not be permitted to work on other classwork and may not access technology. Therefore, it is in your best interest to take your time and stay focused on the assessment.

Additional Information: Report immediately to your testing location Additional Information: Report immediately to your testing location. Review the signs in your classroom that identify your testing dates, times, and location. You may receive separate notification from Mr. Hoffman if your information differs from that of your classmates.

Information regarding electronic devices: Cell phones, smart watches, and other electronic devices MUST be turned off (not on silent) and placed inside a bag in the testing room. Bags will be stored in the front of the classroom. Failure to follow this policy will result in a “Do Not Score” label being placed on your test. Additional consequences may include school discipline, phone confiscation, and/or potential PA State fines.

Any questions about testing? Speak with your current teacher. Speak with the department coordinator. (English: Mrs. Rosselli, Math: Mrs. Jarossy, Science: Mr. Hayden) Speak with School Assessment Coordinator Mrs. Zaleski (Class of 2021 House Principal).
