Spaghetti towers engineering challenge Which class and grade level can build the tallest tower? Who Will Win? *The spaghetti provides the framework and support for the tower - tape is used as the connectors. 

Spaghetti towers Engineering challenge OBJECTIVE: To construct a tower as high as possible using only spaghetti and masking tape. The pom-pom must be placed on the top of the tower. The tallest tower still standing wins. MATERIALS: one foot of blue tape, 25 sticks of spaghetti, one pom-pom CRITERIA: You may not use any other materials to support of your tower You will have only 30 minutes Pom-pom must be on the top of the tower when time is up and your tower must be freestanding  Measurement is a vertical measurement from the base of your tower You may stick masking tape to the table top Spaghetti may be broken into smaller pieces. However, once broken, pieces may not be replaced
