What is Compromise? Compromise is when two groups or people have different opinions but meeting in the middle somewhere. They come up with a solution that can attend to the needs of both groups.
What is compromise? What is a time in your life when you had to compromise? i.e.: restaurant, movie, things to do, etc. Have you ever been with someone who will not compromise? Who do you often compromise with? Is compromise important to a relationship? Is compromise important to a marriage?
What are the steps to compromising? Know where you stand Listen well to the other person’s/group’s position Find what is most important to both groups Consider solutions that best meet the needs – not wants – of both groups Rework the solution until everyone is satisfied Try the solution until it works or a new solution is needed (back to step 1)
