Surviving Amidst Ungodliness! Habakkuk. 2:2–4

Habakkuk. 2:2–4 Then the Lord answered me and said: “Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry. 4 “Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in Him; But the just shall live by His faith."

What is this VISION? Daniel 8:17,19, . he said to me, “Understand, son of man, that the vision refers to the time of the end.” .... Daniel 10:14, "Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”

What is the DUTY of those who will READ it? The Bible says, "“Write the vision And make it plain on tablets, That he may RUN who reads it." 1. RUN in this CONTEXT - It means, to be at WORK; to carry the GOSPEL out in FEAR for people to REPENT and BELIEVE the Gospel! 2. Mark 1:15, "and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel.” 3. Matthew 10:7, "And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

When is this APPOINTED TIME going to be? The Bible says, "... at the END it will SPEAK, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Matt. 24:37-39, "But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be…..” Hebrew 9:27, "And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,"   2 Peter 3:8,9 “But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day…”

Who Are The People To Face The Vision? The verse 4 reads, “Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in Him; But the  just shall live by His faith." The PROUD! "Behold the PROUD, his soul is not upright in Him." The following are FEW symptoms of the PROUD … The people or believers who DON'T believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost, they are selective! The believers who are PUFFED UP because of the pleasures of the world! The believers who are SELF-RIGHTEOUS just like the Pharisees! The believers who are INSUBORNATE to God, the WORD and the godly leadership instructions! The believers who are UNTEACHEABLE, they claim to know everything but understand nothing and sees nothing! The believers who can't WAIT on GOD and on His WORD, they will ignore what the Spirit of God or the WORD of God or Men of God is telling them and take their own action! Apostle Paul summarized it in 2 Timothy 3:1-5, "But know this,…”

Who Are The People To Face The Vision? The JUST! "The JUST shall live by His Faith.“  Galatians 3:11, "But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.” Galatians 3:6, "just as Abraham “believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Ephesians 2:8, "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,"

In Conclusion John 6:46,47, " Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life. 48 I am the bread of life.“ Hebrew 10:36-39, "For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:…” Habakkuk 3:17-19, "Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls - 18 Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills."
