What is a Mixture? A mixture is a combination of 2 or more substances that have not been chemically bonded (no chemical reaction occurred)

TYPES OF MIXTURES HOMOGENEOUS: SOLUTION or WELL MIXED FLUIDS (air) HETEROGENEOUS: Colloid, suspension, or composites

What is a Suspension? A heterogeneous mixture in which particles of a material are more or less evenly dispersed throughout a fluid (liquid or gas)

What is a Colloid? A mixture consisting of tiny particles that are intermediate in size between those in solutions and those in suspension and that are suspended in a liquid, solid or a gas.

ALL Mixtures… can be separated by physical means.
