LA-Literature: Monday, March 11, 2019 Handouts: * Lit Test #5: Poetry Unit * Bubble answer sheet Homework: * Use this time to make sure you will meet your AR goal for third quarter. Deadline is March 13. Assignments due: * Did you study? We’ll soon find out. . . . 

Lesson Goal: Demonstrate what you have learned by taking a test over our Poetry Unit. Outcomes: Be able to . . . Define various literary devices used in poetry. Define and identify various types of poetry. Define concepts that help us in understanding and evaluating poetry. Apply the skills you have learned in reading and understanding poetry.

Starter #1: Prepare for today’s test: 1) Take everything off from your desk. 2) Place your AR book under your chair. 3) If you don’t have an AR book, borrow a book from the Reading Cove now. 4) Remember to remain seated and maintain zero voice the entire period. 5) When you finish, check your work, then raise your hand. 6) Use the remainder of the period to read.

Starter #2: How to fill out your test answer sheet. On the gray side of your Scantron answer sheet, in the upper right-hand side of the sheet, fill out this info: Name First & Last Name (printed neatly), Test #___ Subject Lit Test, Unit 4: Informational Reading Date March 11, 2019 Period: 6-D or 6-M Do NOT make any other marks on your answer sheet. Do NOT make any marks on your tests.
