HYDROCARBONS = compounds that contain ONLY carbon and hydrogen. A → E → Y ALPHABETICAL ORDER! = compounds that contain ONLY carbon and hydrogen. When they contain as many hydrogen atoms as possible, they are called saturated. Every carbon wants 4 bonds! Alkanes = Alkenes = Alkynes = Contain ONLY single bonds Contain at least 1 double bond Contain at least 1 triple bond
