Interactive web tool to use less herbicides ECOHERBI Interactive web tool to use less herbicides Alain RODRIGUEZ ACTA alain.rodriguez@acta.asso.fr

Many choices are possibles but farmers keep the hand What for ? Help farmers to find and combine the bests and accurates practices to reduce herbicides using in arable crops For Training courses, workshop or brainstorming Use it with your advisor Many choices are possibles but farmers keep the hand

Technical workflow for weed control Technical informations … What does he give ? Crops succession In the intercrop : Cover crop, false seed, soil managment, tillage, delaying sowing…) For each crop: Technical workflow for weed control For each practice: Technical informations … Link : ecoherbi.florad.org/ But it’s a prototype and you need a code to access. Feel free to tell me by mail at : alain.rodriguez@acta.asso.fr and I will give it to you ecoherbi.florad.org/

Here you can choose you pedo-climatic area Here you can choose you pedo-climatic area. This tool is developped for few standards couples soil/weather in France, it need to be extended

Here you can choose Which practices you could use Faux semis : false seedbed Couvert interculture : intercrop cover Décaler la date de semis : delayed sowing what kind of material you have or you can buy to know how you could use it in the crops (e.g. arrow) Herse étrille : harrow Bineuse : hoe Bineuse à céréales : cereals hoe Herbisemis : sowing and in the same time spraying herbicides only on the row Désherbineuse : herbicides in the row and hoe in the inter-row

First line : the crop rotation before changing Others lines Suggest few crops rotations with their evaluation (number of stars) Faisabilité : feasibility Désh méca : possibilities of using mechanical weed control Filière : marketing production HHPP : winter crop / Spring Crop alternance WC-WC / SC-SC for weeds managment Diversité : diversity of crop (brodleaves/grasses) …

After choosing a successsion crops You can see if each alternative practive is accurate between 2 crops and why it is not eventually a good idea (next slide)

Here are somme comments about the succession crop by couple (is there any trouble?) Why can’t I use this practice (in red or yellow) between those 2 crops (time avaible, soil conditions, pests managment….)

Back to the main page by clicking on a crop you choose how you can reduce herbicide in the technicals operations (next slide)

You can adapt your reducing herbicides level for example : T01 is all mechanical weed control (pré-emerging blind harrow / cotyledon (harrow) / 2 leaves (hoe) etc. T11 is a mixted itinerary : 2 leaves herbicides post emergence and finishing with hoe… In grey optionals operations (but some are frequently usefull) Clicking on the link (nexts slides…)

By clicking on practice you go to a main page with a little introductive text and usefull links to know more about
