Fact s: Two thirds of the car pollution comes from old cars. The smoke that comes from the exhaust is from not cleaning the filter. America is doing a law if some officer saw a old car it will be taken and crushed in the junkyard. Half of the old car pollution comes from America and China. Old cars make pollution from the amount of gasoline it burns.

What are the effects of old car pollution?: (1) Greenhouse Effect and Global Warming Greenhouse Effect is the role the atmosphere plays in warming the earth's surface. Clouds and a natural layer of atmospheric gases absorb a portion of the planet's heat and prevent it from escaping into space. This keeps our planet warm enough for life. The greenhouse effect is increased by the release of certain gases like carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide emitted by cars into the atmosphere. This results in more heat being trapped near the planet, thereby making the planet warmer. The growing temperatures will lead to drastic climatic changes such as changes in rainfall patterns, melting of ice worldwide and rise of sea levels. As a result the world ecosystem will lose stability.

What are the effects of old car pollution?: (2) Acid Rain Car emissions are also responsible for the formation of acid rain which causes lakes and streams to be acidic. This causes an imbalance in the food chain as some of the fish are unable to survive at a higher acidic level. Forest birds which thrive on these fish suffer from shortage of food as a result. Natural vegetation and crops are also affected by acid rain. Moreover, it increases the decay of building materials and paints. Cancer Benzene, one of the pollutants released from car exhausts, has been linked to leukemia. It can also lower the body's immunity, affecting the body's defense against tumors. Polycyclic hydrocarbons, another polluting agent, are also thought to be carcinogenic.

What are the effects of old car pollution?: (3) Ozone Layer Depletion The ozone layer is essential for human life. It absorbs harmful ultraviolet radiation (a major cause of skin cancer), protecting the planet's surface from exposure. Air pollutants mostly caused by car emissions called chlorofluorocarbons (or CFCs) have caused a hole in the ozone layer, allowing more ultraviolet radiation through to the surface of the planet.

What to do to stop old car pollution? There is a lot of things to do to stop old car pollution like you can replace your old car to a modern car. The other thing is you can not drive a car you can ride a bicycle to make you fit and to save the world. The last thing you can do to stop old cars polluting you can tell people to replace there old car to a modern or ask them.
