Engineering Programme Accreditation Electronic & Communications Engineering Programme Objectives: Programme Objectives are specific goals that the graduates are expected to achieve in their career and professional life few years after graduation. Electronic & Communications Engineering programme graduates should : Use the latest knowledge and techniques in design, developing, maintaining, servicing, sales and marketing, and research of electronic telecommunication and technologies. Assume technical, managerial and ethical roles effectively in the organizations they work in. Involve in the affairs of professional institutions and keep abreast of the nation’s needs and developments and provide services to the engineering communities and the nation. Programme Outcomes: Upon completing the Electronic & Communications Engineering programme, students are expected to attain the following: Apply acquired fundamental knowledge of science and engineering; Design and evaluate electronic and communication systems based on system approach; Possess the relevant technical skills in electronic and communications engineering; Identify, formulate and solve communication engineering problems; Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people; Be aware of the current good practices of electronic and communication engineering for sustainable development; Demonstrate commitment to ethical and professional responsibilities; Recognize that electronic communication is a fast evolving field and is committed to carry out life long learning; Function effectively as an individual and in a team; and Be aware of a professional engineer’s social, cultural, global and environmental responsibilities.
