Fig. 5 Distribution based on physical activity. There was no significant difference in the physical activity among control group and intervention group with p = 0.280 (χ2 = 1.169). The prevalence of MetS was higher in female patients and lower in male patients (41%). Most of the patients were turned to be non-vegetarian (85%). It is clear from the table that most of the patients have a positive family history (76%). In adequate physical activity (69%) was found to be associated with the prevalence of MetS.
