When we rub two hands together, we will observe a temperature increase. But the temperature increase in both hands is not due to putting any one of them in contact with a hotter object. Therefore, the temperature increase here cannot be attributed to heat flow. CALLOUT “work” pointing to choice A How about choice B?… Hitting a nail with a hammer will result in an increase in the temperature of the nail and the head of the hammer Again, this does not deal with two systems at that are initially at different temperatures.
