Study tips – Physics on a daily basis Revision of notes and memorising the formulae and the definition of difficult terms helps a lot while last minute preparation. Keep a few lists of topics separately for quick revision and it must contain the important formulae, derivations and important definitions . Practice the derivatives perfectly ( at least 5 times) and do not miss the optics, magnetism and electrostatics as these are the important sections for major questions. Practicing the conceptual question can help in preparing practical as well as the concept once get clear can help in answering question from all sections. Solve as many class 12 sample papers you can, but try to solve at least 3-4 completely. Practice past year question papers & model test papers. Time management is a must; take out time for leisure as well along side preparation … strike a balance. For numerical , do not use calculators. Try and finish all the topics and questions in the NCERT books. CBSE board questions are majorly based on the question in this book only.
Study tips – Chemistry on a daily basis If you are good in calculation and formula application part, you can score well in physical chemistry. Prepare a chart of important formulae and practice numerical on each one of them. The theory part should also be revised as well. Some important chapters like Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics and Solutions can be given extra attention Inorganic chemistry requires lots of learning. It is advisable to read your textbook (e.g.: NCERT) well as it will also help you with Competitive Exams by preparing short notes of various processes, reactions and preparations. Organic Chemistry is very interesting and a scoring section provided you have understood the basic concepts. Give more focus on naming reactions and chemical tests. Practice reasoning questions related to acidic, basic characters, melting and boiling points, comparison of isomeric compounds, mechanism of named reactions.
Study tips – Biology on a daily basis Read the NCERT textbook thoroughly. Make footnotes and point-wise summaries for important topics, so that they become easy to revise regularly. Practice drawing neat diagrams as they will help you understand the concept better . Attempt sample papers/practice papers to identify the exam trends and your own weak areas Give diagrams and tables wherever necessary. While doing diagrams, keep in mind that a well-labelled neat diagram fetches more marks as compared to a colourful one Try to keep the answers to the point and brief Use flashcards to remember definition Create flowcharts to effectively remember processes
Study tips – Engg. Graphics on a daily basis Practice free hand sketching as much as possible, apart from sketching using tools. This will help you get into the flow of drawing. Master each type of assembly and dis-assembly drawing, first practicing in free hand but also doing it with tools. Practice and improve your visualisation skills as this is an important way to score in the questions for projections. Study in a group; pick a question, have each friend sketch the answer and compare. Revise the different symbols, line styles and other details that you will need to answer questions . Practice drawing objects regularly.

To achieve better scores, we need to prepare for one full year not in one day or five days or last minute preparation or overnight. Wish you all the best…
