Prior Research Prior Research goes here. Use as many slides are you need. Single spaced Size 24 font

Prior Research Continued

Problem Single spaced Size 24 font

Proposed Solution The design and construction of a (engineering project) for (user) to do (some function). Single spaced Size 24 font

Design Criteria and Constraints Criteria define the product’s physical and functional characteristics and must be declared as a measurable quantity. Examples: length, mass, velocity, performance, and ruggedness, etc. Constraints are factors that limit the engineer’s flexibility. Examples: cost, time, climate, materials, where the product will be used, appearance, and physical features.

Test Plan When making your test plan, keep in mind what has been done in the past from your prior research and your design criteria and constraints. Solar Powered Scooter Test Plan Example: Transport up to 35 kg rider Test plan: Transport a 35 kg load Speed of at least 8 km/h on level surfaces Test plan: 100m distance should take less than 45 seconds Travels through 10 meters of shade Test plan: Charge up battery. With 35kg rider, ride through 10m of shade

Materials The materials should be bulleted Single spaced Size 24 font

Prototype Discuss your design and include construction diagrams Single spaced Size 24 font

Data/Log Book Copy and paste from Excel. Don’t forget to include your summarizes (single spaced, 24 font). Solar Scooter Example Transport 35 kg rider. Exceeds test plan: Maximum mass transported Speed. Exceeds test plan: Measure and plot speed vs. rider mass Travels through shade. Exceeds test plan: Measure and plot distance in shade travel vs. rider mass Extra knowledge: Solar energy, storing energy, electric motor torque, gears

Graph Copy and paste from Excel. Don’t forget to include your summarizes (single spaced, 24 font).
